Use hand pressure or a light tap on the wheel wrench to tighten the adapter on the spindle. It is not necessary to hammer. The adapter will not come loose. It will get tighter under a load. Use a wheel puller to remove wheel from spindle. Don't hammer on the back of the adapter. Assemble the adapter and wheel while off of the grinder.
