Kafang Cu–Sn deposit in the Gejiu ore district (65 Mt Cu ore at a grade of 1.2% and 32 Mt Sn ore at a grade of 0.6%). We use these data to constrain the source, evolution, oxygen fugacity, and tectonic setting of the granitic magmatism. Zircon U–Pb dating yielded an age of 82.8 ± 0.6 Ma for the Kafang granite.
1. Introduction. The ore bearing fluids for orogenic gold deposits world-wide have been suggested to have originated by metamorphic devolatilisation of greenstone belt volcano-sedimentary assemblages of rocks (Kerrich and Fyfe, 1981, Goldfarb et al., 2005, Goldfarb and Groves, 2015 and references therein). For Neoarchaean and …
Among such rocks are granite, aplite, gneiss, eurite, quartz-trachyte, syenite, andesite, basalt, diorite, gabbro, diabase, schists, porphyry and slate. These deposits seldom pay to work and in that case can hardly be called gold ores. J. E. Spurr writes—"Native gold has been found in both basic and acid rocks.
Expand/collapse global location. 12.3: Ore Genesis. Page ID. The various theories of ore genesis explain how the various types of mineral deposits form within the Earth's crust. …
Gold ore is also less likely to be exposed to air: 50% of ore blocks from the first and second batch do not generate. The extra batch in badlands generate regardless of exposure to air. Gold ore can replace stone, andesite, diorite, granite, tuff, and deepslate. Any gold ore that replaces tuff or deepslate becomes deepslate gold ore.
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains. Satelite image of the Granite Gold ...

Carlin-type gold deposits are among the most important gold-bearing hydrothermal ore systems and are mainly located in Nevada, USA, and southwestern China. However, the source and evolution of the ore-forming fluids for these deposits remain controversial, especially those found within China. In this study, lithium and …
Well-known controversy over the genesis of orogenic gold mineralization in granites has been a subject of research worldwide. Hamash gold mine is considered …
Flotation of ore at a top-size of 3 mm, followed by gravity concentration of the flotation tailings, has been applied previously in South Africa to treat Witwatersrand gold ores resulting in the production of a 40% mass pull at an overall gold recovery of 98% (Lloyd, 1979). Coarse particle flotation of particle ranging from 3 to 5 mm is common ...

The recovery of gold from refractory ores has also steadily increased over the past 20 years, largely a result of circumstance and necessity, as the easier free-milling gold ores have been depleted. In turn, hydrometallurgical processes, like pressure oxidation and bacterial oxidation/leaching, have in many cases superseded traditional …
The pyrite framboid grains in the ore-hosted mudstone have negative δ 34 S values range from − 41.1‰ to − 24.3‰, whereas hydrothermal pyrite grains in the gold ores show consistent near-zero δ 34 S values (Fig. 9), indicating that most of the sulfur in the gold ores were not sourced from the pyrite framboid in the sedimentary rocks ...
